Summer Extravaganza’s

It’s only a few weeks into the summer and it already is a summer full of experiences. I realized I LOVE traveling, and trying new things. Life is too short to remain stagnant, and not appreciate this beautiful country I far too often take for granted. In this past week, I traveled from MD to NY to NJ and then to OC,MD. I can honestly say I have NEVER had my breath taken away by natural scenery until I was in Northern NJ. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous. I literally wanted to stay outside for my entire stay. The breeze, the atmosphere, the relaxation, everything was so perfect. New York on the other hand was alot more fast paced, but I loved it. I am always on the move, and so is everyone else in New York. Everything is done on a schedule, the metro, subways, trains, meetings, EVERYTHING. Events do not end until past four AM. So for women like me who like to take their time getting ready (oops), and appreciate a long island…. or two ( who’s counting?), before partaking in the night festivities, NY is PERFECT. Ocean City. Ocean City is that beach many DMV inhabitants take for granted just because it is so close in vicinity but when visited with the right group of people, is extremely fun. I swam in the ocean , at night, for the first time this past weekend, and it was absolutely amazing. I didn’t have to worry about how far my bikini bottom was riding up (TMI?) or if the waves happened to disgrace me and my bandeau top because it was night, AKA… no one could see! It was so much fun, I found myself running into the water, and was even taken under by a wave that snuck up on me.  But not to fret, that is one of the perks of Brazilian hair. 😉 All in all my mini vacation was exactly the hiatus I needed to refresh, relax, recuperate, re prioritize, and reevaluate. It provided me with the WOO-SAH my life needed, and now I’m ready to take this summer and the rest of my life by the (insert dramatic word here) and conquer it!
